Shingles Vaccination Drive
On 9th October 2024, the Infection Control Committee (ICC) organized a Shingles Vaccination Drive for staff members and their relatives. A total of 15 participants received the vaccination during the drive.
The initiative aimed at promoting adult immunization and preventive healthcare among healthcare workers and their families. The drive enhanced awareness regarding adult immunization and improved preventive health coverage among staff and their dependents.
Cervical Cancer Vaccination Awareness Program
On 3rd February 2025, an informative lecture on “Cervical Cancer Vaccination Awareness “was conducted for 1st and 2nd Year BDS students. The session was delivered by Dr. Jasmeet Chandok, Founder Secretary of Swasthya Vrikhsha Foundation.
The lecture emphasized the importance of early vaccination, prevention strategies, and awareness regarding cervical cancer. The session improved students’ knowledge about HPV vaccination and encouraged informed decision-making regarding preventive healthcare.
HPV Vaccination Drive
An “HPV Vaccination Drive” was successfully conducted on 8th February 2025. A total of 66 female students, aged between 18–20 years, were vaccinated during the event.
The drive reinforced the institution’s commitment to preventive healthcare and cancer prevention initiatives. The vaccination drive significantly increased immunization coverage among eligible students, contributing to long-term cervical cancer prevention.
Cervical Cancer Vaccination Awareness Lecture
On 16th February 2025, another awareness lecture on “Cervical Cancer Vaccination” was organized. The session was delivered by Dr. Madhuri Gawande, a renowned gynecologist from Nagpur.
The lecture focused on early detection, vaccination benefits, and myths surrounding cervical cancer prevention. The program helped dispel misconceptions and strengthened participants’ understanding of early screening and vaccination importance.
Lecture on “Infection Control” (Intern’s Orientation)
A lecture on the topic “Infection Control” was conducted on 19th March 2025 under the Intern’s Orientation Program. The session was delivered by Dr. Smriti Golhar, Associate Professor, Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology.
The lecture covered standard precautions, sterilization protocols, biomedical waste management, and prevention of healthcare-associated infections. The session strengthened interns’ understanding of standard infection control protocols and reinforced safe clinical practices.
Lecture on “Infection Control”
Another session on “Infection Control” was held on 24th March 2025 as part of the Third Year Orientation Program. The speaker for the session was Dr. Nilima Agrawal, Member Secretary, ICC.
The session reinforced institutional infection control policies and compliance protocols. The lecture ensured better compliance with institutional infection control guidelines among newly inducted Interns.
Hepatitis B Immunization Vaccination Drive
On 25th March 2025, a “Hepatitis B Immunization Vaccination Drive” was organized for First Year MDS (2024–2025 Batch) students and newly joined teaching staff. A total of 31 participants were registered for the drive.
The initiative aimed at ensuring immunization coverage among healthcare professionals and reducing occupational exposure risks. The drive improved protection against occupational transmission of Hepatitis B among healthcare personnel.
Nurses Day Celebration
On the occasion of Nurses Day, a quiz competition was organized on 9th May 2025 for nursing staff members. The nurses actively participated and appreciated the efforts taken by the ICC.
The event promoted team spirit, knowledge enhancement, and recognition of the valuable contributions of nursing professionals. The activity enhanced awareness about infection control practices while boosting morale and professional engagement among nursing staff.
