The Board of Research Studies (BORS) at Ranjeet Deshmukh Dental College & Research Centre, Nagpur is the apex academic body dedicated to fostering a vibrant research culture within the institution. The Board provides strategic direction for research planning, promotes high-quality and ethical research, facilitates interdisciplinary collaborations, and encourages innovation among faculty and students. It oversees research proposals, publications, funded projects, intellectual property initiatives, and capacity-building programs, ensuring that research activities align with national and international standards. Through its commitment to scientific excellence and evidence-based inquiry, BORS strives to advance oral healthcare research and contribute meaningfully to society.

Standard Operating Procedure
The Board of Research Studies functions to systematize, promote and disseminate research related activities in the college. Meeting is carried out once every two months to discuss research projects and publications by the faculty members, PG and UG students. The committee reviews approval of research projects, recommends grant applications and communicates to students and faculty members the availability of research opportunities. The objective of this SOP is to contribute to the effective functioning of the Research review board at the Ranjeet Deshmukh Dental College and Research Centre, Nagpur so that a consistent review mechanism for health and biomedical research is put in place for all proposals dealt by the Committee. All staff members and students have to submit application in prescribed format to the research review board to avail grants. The research review board also reviews research protocols for short term and long term projects submitted by staff members, PG students, UG students and interns on a monthly basis. The synopsis presentation for final dissertation of PG students and PhD scholars is carried out as per the curriculum.
