Dental Checkup Camp

Alumni association, RDDC & Research Centre, Nagpur, conducted the dental checkup camp in School premises at Katol Nagpur on 13/2/2024. Alumni Staff members Dr. Swapnil Patil, Dr. Sushi Naik, Dr. Mohit Gunwal, Dr. Ananya Hazare, Dr. Gagandeep Lamba, Dr. Anuj Chandak and PG students were present in camp. Staff members educated school children related to oral hygiene maintenance treatment of dental caries & facilities of various treatment options in dentistry. More than 120 students were benefitted from the camp.

Environmental Day Celebration

Ranjit Deshmukh Dental College celebrated Environmental Day in college campus with great enthusiasm and active participation from staff and students on 28th June 2024. The event was an initiative undertaken by the Alumni Committee to promote environmental awareness and contribute to ecological balance within the college premises. As part of the program, 15 bird feeders were installed throughout the campus to support and sustain the local bird population. The celebration highlighted the importance of preserving biodiversity and fostering a greener, healthier environment.

Environmental pollution

Alumni Association of Ranjeet Deshmukh Dental College & Research Centre conducted a session on “Environmental pollution” by a well-known environmentalist Ms. Shefali Dudhbade on 28th November 2024. The speaker enlightened the interns and undergraduates about air, water pollution and its harmful effects on health and environment. She emphasized need for sustainable practices like waste segregation, reducing plastic usage and adopting clean energy solution. Another campaign was organized for e-waste collection. The college faculty and students actively participated in the campaign and the waste was then handed over to certified recycler Mrs. Mahima Suri who runs Suritex pvt ltd.

How to enter the armed forces

The Programme was conducted by PG Cell, Interns Monitoring Committee & Alumni Association of Ranjeet Deshmukh Dental College & Research Centre, Nagpur at pride hall on 13th June 2024 on topic – How to enter army dental corps after BDS, MDS. The programme was graced by the alumni of college – Lt. Col. Dr. Chaitanya Mahajan, who is serving Indian army since 2008. Dr. Mahajan enlightened the interns and post graduate students of the institute on the career path in army dental corps after graduating in the field of dentistry. Students gained knowledge about the future in army for dental students.
