Dental Check-Up Camp Ashiesh Nx Pvt Ltd, Sitaburdi, Nagpur
The Department of Periodontics and Implantology, Ranjeet Deshmukh Dental
College and Research Centre, Nagpur, organized a free dental check-up camp on 6th March
2026 at Ashiesh Nx Pvt. Ltd., Nagpur, to promote oral health awareness and provide dental
care services to women employees on the occasion of Women’s Day. The camp aimed to
offer free dental examinations and consultations, raise awareness about the importance of oral
hygiene, highlight the link between hormonal changes in women and periodontitis, and
provide appropriate referrals for further treatment.
The activities included comprehensive dental check-ups conducted by a team comprising Dr. Kamal Kishor Mankar (Associate Professor), Dr. Vinisha Bajaj (Assistant Professor), Nurse Mrs. Sushma Taksande, Postgraduates Dr. Tasneem Azad (JR II) and Dr. Nisha Dhingra (JR I), along with interns Sejal Bhagat and Vishakha Bhandarkar, who assessed patients for gingivitis, periodontitis, and other oral health conditions. An oral health awareness talk was delivered by Dr. Vinisha Bajaj, including demonstrations of effective oral hygiene practices using educational models. Patients requiring further care were referred to the Department of Periodontics and Implantology based on case complexity. A total of 85 individuals benefited from the camp, with the most common findings being bleeding gums, dental caries, missing teeth, and periodontitis. The initiative successfully enhanced awareness regarding the importance of regular dental check-ups and maintenance of good oral hygiene practices.
