NATIONAL ORAL PATHOLOGISTS DAY, 25th February 2026
“The DNA story: From Double Helix to Cures and Beyond”
A virtual local Guest lecture was conducted through online platform – Google meet, on occasion of National Oral Pathologists Day – 25th February 2026 by the Dept. of Oral Pathology & Microbiology at RDDC & RC, Nagpur. The speaker, Dr. Shruti Pande (BDS, PhD) emphasised on “The DNA story: From Double Helix to Cures and Beyond”. The virtual event was very informative and a great success which was attended by Undergraduates, Postgraduate students and Faculty members of the Institution.
Various other activities were also conducted such as Tooth Carving competition for I BDS students and the winners were Ms. Kalyani Raut – 1st prize, Ms. Anaya Warkhad – 2nd prize and Ms. Shrushti Ghodeswar – 3rd prize. E-poster competition on topic “Different forms of Tobacco Consumption in India” was organised for II BDS students and the winners of the competition were Ms. Netal Sabu – 1st prize and Ms. Samidha Deshpande – 2nd prize. Brainstorming activity was organised for Interns which reflected their depth of knowledge and problem-solving abilities and the winners of the competition were Ms. Shreya Ramteke – 1st prize, Ms. Aakruti Shah – 2nd prize and Ms. Mrunalini Atkar – 3rd prize. All the winners were felicitated by the hands of Respected Dean, Dr. Abhay Kolte.
