Cons-Endo Week Celebration 2026
The Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, Ranjeet Deshmukh
Dental College & Research Centre (RDDCRC), Nagpur, in association with the Indian
Association of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, organized a series of academic and
awareness activities to mark National Cons-Endo Day, celebrating "45 Years of Spreading
Smiles to Indians." The Restorative & Root Canal Awareness Week was conducted from 5
March 2026 onwards, with enthusiastic participation from postgraduate and undergraduate
students.
The celebrations began on 5 th March 2026 with two engaging competitions for postgraduate students. The first event, Reelodontics – Endo Awareness Reels," encouraged participants to create informative and creative reels promoting endodontic awareness. A total of 18 students participated, and the competition was judged by Dr. Shubha Hegde.
On the same day, a unique activity titled "Cool Molar Café – Cold Cooking Competition" was organized, where all the participants showcased their creativity through innovative cold dishes. The event was judged by Dr. Ramakrishna Shenoi, Vice Dean and PG Director of Studies, RDDCRC. Both events witnessed enthusiastic involvement from students, and winners along with participants were felicitated for their efforts.
On 6 th March 2026, a Continuing Dental Education (CDE) programme titled "Maximum Aesthetics with Minimum Invasion – A Case-Based Approach" was conducted by Dr. Chetana Makade, Associate Professor, RDDCRC. The session was attended by 62 postgraduate and undergraduate students and focused on modern minimally invasive aesthetic procedures. The lecture provided valuable insights through innovative case-based discussions, helping students understand advanced clinical approaches in restorative dentistry.
Further enriching the week's activities, a Motivational Lecture "Beyond Root Canal" was delivered by Dr. Vandana Gade, Associate Professor, SDKS Dental College, Nagpur, on 12 th March 2026 for 50 undergraduate and postgraduate students, inspiring them toward professional excellence and personal growth. She introduced the concept of EFT technique and ENDOCARE for dealing with day to day anxiety, stress and empathetic approach in dealing with patients.
Another creative activity titled "Crown the Chair – Dental Chair Decoration Competition" was held, where students decorated dental chairs with innovative themes related to dentistry. The competition was judged by Dr. Neelam Pande, and 18 participants showcased their creativity for decorating the Dental chairs.
