The Anti-ragging committee of the Ranjeet Deshmukh Dental College & Research Centre, Nagpur observed Anti-ragging Week from 12-08-2026 to 18-08-2026. As a part of the event, the following activities were organized. The Anti-ragging day was observed on 12- 8-26. A formal inauguration followed by a sensitization lecture was organized for the students on prevention of ragging by our Dean, Dr. Abhay Kolte and Dr. K. Venugopal Reddy, Member Secretary, Anti-ragging committee of the institution.
1. The Anti-ragging videos downloaded from UGC website were displayed at the reception area of the institution throughout the week to make the students aware about the various aspects of ragging and its prevention.
2. Various competitions like Slogan and Logo designing and Essay writing competitions were organized for the students to sensitize them on various aspects of ragging throughout the Anti-ragging week.

• a. Logo designing competition was organized on 13-8-2026. A total of 26 students participated in the competition. Ms. Tanishka Kurani from 3 nd BDS won the first prize and her logo was selected as logo for the institutional Anti-ragging committee. Ms. Ekta Rathi, an intern won the second prize All the participants were given participation certificates.
• b. Slogan competition was organized on 14-8-2026. A total of 21 students took part in the competition. Ms. Samruddi Parasswar from 1 st BDS won the first prize and second prize was shared by Ms. Krutika Mendoge and Ms. Jhanvi Kumre belonging to 2 nd year BDS. All the participants were given participation certificates.
• c. Essay writing competition was organized on 17-8-2026. Ms. Sanskriti Nalinde from 2 nd BDS secured first prize and Ms. Ridhali Tapase from 2 nd B.D.S won the second prize. Ms. Mehak Dahare from 1 st B.D.S won the special recognition award.
