The Good Clinical Practices (GCP) Workshop was successfully conducted on 17th December 2025 at Pride Hall, Ranjeet Deshmukh Dental College and Research Centre, Nagpur, under the aegis of Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nashik. The program was organized by the Board of Research Studies with the objective of enhancing awareness and understanding of ethical and scientific standards in clinical research.
The workshop aimed to educate postgraduate students, faculty members, and research scholars about the principles of Good Clinical Practices, including ethical conduct, patient safety, documentation, regulatory requirements, and quality assurance in clinical trials.
The sessions were conducted by experienced faculty from RDDCRC, AIIMS and GMC Nagpur, who elaborated on key aspects of GCP such as informed consent, protocol adherence, data integrity, adverse event reporting, and responsibilities of investigators. Interactive discussions and real-life examples were used to make the sessions engaging and informative.
Participants actively interacted with the speakers and clarified their doubts regarding clinical research practices. The workshop helped in strengthening the research culture within the institution and emphasized the importance of maintaining ethical standards and compliance in clinical studies.
Valedictory function was organized wherein Dr. Abhay Kolte (Dean and Chairman BORS RDDCRC) and Dr. Mukta Motwani (Vice Dean Clinical RDDCRC) felicitated the faculty members for conducting the workshop. Dr. Kolte lauded the enthusiastic participation from all members. Dr. Nivedita Nandeshwar and Dr. Chetana Makade thanked all resource faculty for sharing their valuable time and expertise. Dr. Dipak Ghatoge (Participant- Faculty) expressed satisfaction over the conduct of the workshop. Dr. Jui Ingole (participant- student) also said that deliberations and group activities were very useful for understanding. She suggested that ethical guidelines for application of artificial intelligence to be included in the workshop. Overall feedback for the workshop was very positive. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, acknowledging the efforts of the organizing committee, resource faculty, and participants for making the workshop a success.
