On 25th June 2026, the Board of Research Studies committee (BORS) at Ranjeet Deshmukh Dental College & Research Centre, Nagpur successfully organized an online webinar aimed at promoting research excellence and enhancing grant-writing skills among faculty members and postgraduate students. The webinar featured Dr. Sachin Khatri, who delivered an insightful session on “Grant Proposal Writing,” explaining the essential components of a successful research proposal, strategies for developing impactful research ideas, and common pitfalls to avoid during proposal preparation.
This was followed by an informative lecture by Dr. Varsha Manekar on “Funding Your Research – Strategic Insights into ICMR and Other Grants,” where she discussed various national funding opportunities, the ICMR grant application process, proposal evaluation criteria, budgeting, and practical tips for securing research funding. The sessions were highly interactive, with participants actively engaging in discussions and seeking guidance on their research projects. Overall, the webinar was well received and provided valuable knowledge, and apply for competitive research grants.
