The Department of Prosthodontics at Ranjeet Deshmukh Dental College and Research Centre, Nagpur celebrated ‘World Prosthodontist Day’ on 22 nd January 2026 with a week-long conduction of outreach programs and academic competitions. Various public awareness as well as academic activities were conducted from 18 th to 25 th January 2026 for general public, UG & PG Students. The initiative began on 18 th January with a ‘Walkathon and Awareness Drive’ in collaboration with the IPS Nagpur Branch, involving esteemed Prosthodontist those are private practitioners. ‘Reel Making competition’ on ‘Prosthodontist- For the Society’ was held for undergraduates and interns and the prize-winning entries were showcased on social media platforms. For the postgraduates, essay writing, tooth preparation and teeth arrangement competitions were held to inculcate core values of Prosthodontics in postgraduates. Dr Neelam Pande, Dr Rajlakshmi Banerjee, Dr Anushree Bhoge and Dr Jayashree Joshi along with postgraduates in the department visited Old Age Homes in the city and a Prosthodontic check-up with treatment camp was organized with delivery of ‘Oral Health Awareness lecture’.
A two-day CDE program was conducted at RDDC and RC, Nagpur in association with IPS Nagpur Branch on ‘Advancing Clinical Excellence’ on 23 rd and 24 th January for Postgraduates, Interns and Undergraduates of the college for upgradation of knowledge and skills. The speakers were Alumni of the college, Dr. Shruti Gunashekhar, Dr. Sandeep Khandaitkar, Dr. Devendra Nagpal, and Dr. Pratik Burad. The program concluded with valedictory ceremony where all speakers and prize winners were felicitated.
